- Consumes no energy during normal operation - only during switching.
- Contains doubled contacts, each capable of switching 200A.
- Not designed for breaking large DC currents, unlike vacuum contactors.
- Switching on the battery box requires a "precharge" procedure, which ensures a state change only after the voltage on the contacts is equalized. Switching off is similar.
- The emergency disconnection capability of a large DC current is limited compared to a vacuum contactor and must be taken into account when designing the storage.
- Coil voltage 48V, dual coil.
